God was the very first Usher - as he ushered in day and light (Genesis 1:3-4). God ushered man into the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). Ushers or forerunners are depicted throughout the Bible. Abraham ushered Faithfulness into the world (Genesis 22). Moses ushered the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt and into the promise land (Exodus 12).

 

GBF Ushers are the ones who stand at the door of Gods house and cheerfully greet, seat and distribute pamphlets. GBF Ushers are ambassadors for the church and are a key part in the Body of Christ.  A GBF Usher is the first official church representative seen when entering the Sanctuary. The role of an Usher at GBF is a volunteer position and is considered one of great-honor.

 

Ushers are forerunners, for they prepare the church for the guests by ensuring the church is in proper condition.  GBF Ushers are missionaries for the church for they perpetuate the spirit of a "Servants Heart" throughout the congregation. They serve the people of God in his house while staying in ONE-LINE behind our Pastor.
