Grace Bible Fellowship's Sound Ministry is a behind-the-scenes facilitation for our congregation's Sunday gatherings and other meetings. This ministry contributes valuable expertise to the overall worship experience.
The purpose of a church's Sound and Media Technician is to provide the congregation with technical audio and support of the video sound during the course of Sunday Worship services, weddings, funerals, rehearsals, church activities and for other ministries in making disciples of Christ.

The sound portion of the Technician's job is to oversee the sound board and mixers for all microphones, speakers, and other audio functions.
Arguably the most intense portion of the Sound Technician's job occurs during the congregation's worship time. During this time the Technician is responsible for all of the microphone and instrument channels and making sure the music is mixed properly, often while overseeing the use of CD's and various other electronic devices for song during the offering.
GBF employ their Sound Technicians during the pastor's sermon, video sound, and microphone level control during the message.
The media portion of the job can vary with the program requirements. Often this includes managing DVDs, CD's or other electronic devices provided by the speaker or pastor.
Our goal at GBF is to work diligently and be fully prepared for any service provided, to provide the service for the worship service to unfold so smoothly technically, with sound, computer and video presentation sound, that worship is enhanced and uninterrupted. It is our deep desire to be invisible as we focus all attention, honor and glory on the God we are worshiping and serving.
Anyone interested in becoming involved in this ministry should have experience in sound or have the desire to learn about the operations of audio with special focus on live sound. They must have a strong commitment of time and effort is required from those participating. As one considers volunteering for the Sound Team you may want to ask yourself the following questions:
Am I willing to be trained
Am I willing to attend practices?
Am I known for being on time?
Am I willing to accept direction?
Am I known for being a good team member?
