In 2 Timothy 3:1-5 Paul said, "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"

Have you ever been a part of a team, a business venture, or a group that initially began 'us or we'. "When we make it, we'll never forget where we can from, or when we get to the next level I am going to take care of the entire team, or my success is our success", only to find out when they achieved the higher heights, they have conveniently forgot about you and their promises. Forgot about the other players that helped them succeed, forgot about those that made their success possible. Momma use to say, "they are smelling themselves."

Paul is dealing with this type of person. When man doesn't fear God, he won't regard man! This type of man was on the loose in the Ephesians church and Paul was warning Timothy of him. This type of man is on the loose in the church in 2003, and believers better look out! Sad but true the Preacher of today is in love with himself!

He thinks he's something, when he's forgotten; he's nothing without Jesus (James 1:16-7). He more focused on money than ministry, he's more concerned with his name being made great, than Jesus name being made great, comfortable in his adulterous lifestyle whether with another woman or the church, he's not willing to listen to anyone, but wants everyone to listen to him, he's standing behind the pulpit, but never being pulled from the pit (of hell) himself.

These men are hurting the church and God's people; but at Grace Bible Fellowship, God still reigns supreme. He is still the center of attraction and the only one who really is something! See, we have been saved from some stuff (I could shout right there), and we understand that It's All About The Love of Jesus!
